About Ilwol ArboretumAn ecological landmark of Suwon, Ilwol Arboretum

With the mission of "bringing vibrant nature closer to our daily lives" and the vision of becoming "an ecological landmark of Suwon and Korea's finest urban regional arboretum," this plant-culture-centered, flat-terrain arboretum was completed in December 2022 and officially opened in May 2023. Designed with the ecology and climate of Suwon in mind, it implements ecological garden habitats that can be integrated into urban environments—such as forests, grasslands, wetlands, and arid lands—to foster a deeper interest in garden culture in daily life.
